I would like to know how to train your puppy/dog for a dog show.    They are in such a strange environment with a lot of different smells and sounds -- how do you teach them to remain poised?

I start with my pups as young as I can. Usually 8 to 9 weeks just taking short training sessions standing on the grooming table stacking. I make it fun and give treats. When I am grooming them, I also do the same thing. I get them use to stacking on the table. They also have to let the judges open their mouth, so I will have my husband or someone come over and say can I see the bite, and then I open their mouth. They learn very quickly and practice is key.
